New York Rangers HOF 1962-63 Stunning Art - Rare

Referred to by collectors as Cowan Tiles, these 6” x 6” ceramic affairs were reportedly meant to be sold at NHL arenas, but speculation is that licensing issues led to them never being released to the public, and despite most apparently being destroyed, some survived. Over 100 different players exist, with “SCREENART PRODUCTS LTD. – Made in Canada” appearing on the cork backing of each along with an attached grommet for hanging. “H.M. Cowan”, thought to be the artist’s name, joins the colourful images.
